On Thursday 1 September, Prince Michael as Honorary Air Commodore of RAF Benson attended their Family Station Day. Prince Michael visited a number of static aircraft including a C17 and Jaguar along with many privately owned aircraft. HRH also viewed a variety of flying displays, which included the Station's own Puma and Merlin helicopters, a Harrier GR7, a Spitfire and the RAF's aerobatic display team the Red Arrows. On Friday 9 September Prince Michael visited RAF Spadeadam in Cumbria. His Royal Highness was greeted by the Lord Lieutenant for Cumbria, Mr Joseph Hugh Harris and the Station Commander, Wing Commander Ray Goodall. Prince Michael viewed a convoy of equipment, attended various presentations and briefings and was given a tour and demonstration of RAF Spadeadam's Electronic Warfare capability. The following day Prince Michael as Honorary Rear Admiral of the Royal Naval Reserve attended HMS Calliope's centenary celebrations in Newcastle upon Tyne. Prince Michael and the Lord Mayor of Newcastle, Councillor David Slesenger, inspected the crew at the Civic Centre before taking the salute during a Freedom Parade through the city streets. During the parade the unit carried the Freedom Scroll: this grants them the Honorary Freedom of Newcastle, which they received in 1985. Prince Michael congratulated HMS Calliope on its 100th anniversary as a training organisation for full- and part-time members of the Royal Navy, RN Reservists and students from across the region.
On Thursday 15 September, Their Royal Highnesses Prince and Princess Michael attended the Tsar Ivan The Terrible Twilight Polo Match at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor. Prince Michael presented the prizes to the members of the ‘Rest of the World team', after watching them narrowly beat the Russian team. As it was the first Russian polo match to take place in the UK, the event attracted a huge amount of attention from the Russian media. In association with Timan Oil & Gas plc and Edmiston & Co., and organised by the British Luxury Council of which the Prince is on the Advisory Board, champagne and caviar preceded a dinner by Jean-Christophe Novelli for 200 guests. On Friday 16 September Prince Michael as Honorary Rear Admiral of the Royal Naval Reserve attended the re-enactment of Nelson's Flotilla. His Royal Highness viewed the 40-strong procession from HMS President. Prince Michael took the salute to the First Sea Lord. On Monday 19 September Prince Michael as Patron of the Museum of Army Flying visited the School of Army Aviation in Middle Wallop in Hampshire. Prince Michael attended a presentation on the Army Air Corps Jubilee Appeal given by Colonel Stephen Rowland-Jones. Later on in the day, Prince Michael attended the Museum of Army Flying Cocktail Party and Beating the Retreat in aid of the Jubilee Appeal. On Tuesday 20 September Prince Michael as an Honorary Member of the Air Squadron attended a dinner held at Charterhouse. The dinner was hosted by Sir Michael and Lady Graydon. On Monday 26 September Prince Michael as Patron attended a Genesis Patron Enterprise Club Dinner held at the Dorchester in London. On Tuesday 27 September Prince Michael as Royal Patron attended the Chartered Institutes of Linguists reception to celebrate its incorporation by Royal Charter. Prince Michael was met at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office by the Institute of Linguists President, Dr John Mitchell. Prince Michael presented various certificates and proposed a toast to the newly Chartered Institute of Linguists. Prince Michael as Guest of Honour continued on to the Defence School of Languages' Regimental Dinner held in the Officers' Mess. Guests included staff officers, civilian lecturers and language students. Prince Michael was greeted by the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel A J Rabbitt and the current President of the Mess Committee Major Lizzie Bowman. On Wednesday 28 September Prince Michael as Commonwealth President attended a meeting and lunch of the Commonwealth Council at Coutts & Co. in London. The lunch was hosted by Earl Home, Chairman of Coutts & Co. Prince Michael presented the Citations for the 2004 Mountbatten Medal, the 2004 Russell Medal and HRH Prince Michael of Kent Certificate of Merit.

On Thursday 29 and Friday 30 September Prince Michael as Honorary Rear Admiral of the Royal Naval Reserve visited Britannia Royal Naval College in Dartmouth as part of the College's Centenary Celebrations. Prince Michael met a whole spectrum of College personnel from permanent Military and Civilian Staff to Young Officers under training. HRH attended a Reunion Dinner as Guest of Honour for former Captains and Commodores of BRNC, a lunch for former Civilian Staff of BRNC, as well as planting a tree in the College's Trafalgar Wood. Prince Michael was greeted by Commodore Tim Harris Royal Navy, the College's Commanding Officer.
